Theatre in the Park traces its charter to 1947 and performs from an intimate roughly 250-seat theatre at Pullen Park, near NC State. In 2004 the building was renamed the Ira David Wood III Pullen Park Theatre.
Home of a beloved A Christmas Carol
The company is best known for Ira David Wood III’s comic musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol, a Triangle holiday tradition he has led as Scrooge since 1974, now playing to large crowds each December.
